i'm mad that i couldnt go back into 7 11. otherwise a really fun rpg (with some pretty good music too...!)

sweetumamiband responds:

Hey! Glad ye liked it. We're planning on releasing extra chapters in the future. Yeah there's actually no logical reason you wouldn't be able to re-enter the 711 now that I think about it xD, I'll change that in the next update. Thanks for the feedback!

i think the idea is pretty clever- and some of the levels are fun too, especially the first half- but there are a few presentation things here missing that i think would really help it (like sounds and music, even if you just get them from online instead of recording them yourself)

also just opening the game kind of throws a lot of numbers at the player... acceleration, deceleration, and top speed could definitely be combined into just "speed". the same could be said for gravity and jump strength. and the checkboxes kind of don't come with any reasoning (why would i ever not want a double jump?)

reading that back, i sound kind of overcritical. sorry. but i think this game is pretty close to being something really interesting.

its a fun ps1-y chase game. also i REALLY love how the horizon kinda bends upwards.
(keeping the tutorial text up was a bit awkward though. but i dont really mind.)
also what did the graffiti in level 7 say? i didnt end up managing to read it :(

Mantis1 responds:

The tutorial text can be hidden by pressing "H", sorry it's not obvious :/

The graffiti says " Play >) " which is a reference to the Halfquake Trilogy games. One of the biggest inspirations for this game!

really love shit 2 paying homage to its roots here

*beedle from windwaker saying bye*
